CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A local cancer survivor is sharing her secret recipe for surviving and thriving post-disease in a new book titled, “Thriver Soup.”
After Heidi Bright was diagnosed with late-stage cancer nearly seven years ago, healthy eating and a renewed sense of purpose gave her back her life.
“I improved my diet, I worked on my social relationships, I saw a psychotherapist so I could learn how to deal with my emotions, how to manage my thinking and I change my spiritual practice to more body-focused,” Bright said.
This experience inspired Bright’s new book, “Thriver Soup.”
“I have been in radical remission for seven years, free of evidence of disease and free of cancer treatment,” Bright said.
Bright’s favorite cancer fighters include lentils, especially when sprouting, green leafy vegetables, and the spice of tumeric.
You can learn more about her recipe and her book on Sunday morning’s “What’s Happening In Health,” airing at 6 a.m. on Local 12.
