INGREDIENTS

* 1/2 cup chicken broth
* 1 tablespoon sherry
* 1 tablespoon soy sauce
* 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
* 1 tablespoon cornstarch
* 1/4 teaspoon sugar
* 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
* 2 pounds fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces

DIRECTIONS

    • Put the spices together in a bowl.
    • Heat the oil and put in the asparagus.  Pour in the mixture over the asparagus. 
    • Serve and enjoy.

INGREDIENTS

* 1 bunch fresh asparagus
* 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
* kosher salt to taste
* 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
* 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven using a 400 degrees Fahrenheit heat application.
  2. Rinse the asparagus and sprinkle with the remaining ingredients.  Bake the asparagus afterwards.
  3. Remove asparagus and walnuts from the oven. Divide asparagus among four luncheon plates. While asparagus are still hot, sprinkle them with the gorgonzola and the roasted walnuts.
  4. Serve on a large platter and enjoy!
