Apple Cabbage Toss Recipe

Apples and cabbages go together, especially when the right combination of spices and flavors were made to go together to make this dish extra special.  Enjoy the wonderful treat that this meal can bring.  It’s healthy and ideal for the whole family.

INGREDIENTS

* 3 cups chopped cabbage
* 1/2 cup chopped red onion
* 1 large tart apple, chopped
* 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
* 1 tablespoon sugar
* salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

1.  Get a medium-sized saucepan and blend in the solid ingredients together.  Once it has cooked, combine the spices together and mix it with the blended ingredients.
2. Serve this dish on a platter and enjoy!

Au Gratin Cabbage Recipe

Some people are just going crazy over cabbages.  But then again, we can’t really prepare the same dishes everyday. This dish is a perfect addition to the other cabbage recipes that we already know.

INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups shredded cabbage
* 1/2 cup grated carrot
* 1/4 cup chopped green onions
* 1 egg
* 1/2 cup milk
* 3 tablespoons shredded Swiss cheese
* 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
* 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
* 1 tablespoon shredded Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

1.  Get a skillet and sauté the main ingredients.  Afterwards, combine the spices and seasonings and mix all of these evenly together.
2.  Pour the sauce in the vegetables and bake for half an hour using a 350 degrees heat application.

Bacon Cabbage Stir-Fry Recipe

Some people just enjoy the awesome taste of cabbages.  Of course, we all agree that cabbages are indeed a wonderful food choice.  Cabbages can be made even more exciting if you try this recipe on fresh cabbages. 

INGREDIENTS

* 6 bacon strips, diced
* 1 small head cabbage, chopped
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* 3/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

DIRECTIONS

1.  Cook bacon in a pan and drain the excess oil from the bacon.
2.  Stir fry the vegetables and mix in the fried bacon afterwards.  Serve hot and enjoy!

Cabbage-Tomato Pasta Toss Recipe

INGREDIENTS

* 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and diced
* 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
* 1 teaspoon dried basil
* 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
* 8 ounces bow tie pasta, uncooked
* 2 cups shredded cabbage
* 1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
* 1/2 cup slivered almonds
* 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 1/4 cup butter

DIRECTIONS

1.  Cook the pasta in a pot of water and salt.
2.  Combine all the other ingredients in this recipe to create the sauce of the pasta.
3.  Put in the sauce on the drained pasta.  Mix well.  Serve and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

* 1 (12 ounce) package farfalle (bow tie) pasta
* 1 cup butter
* 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper

DIRECTIONS

1.  Get a pot and put water and salt in it.  Add the pasta and let it cook for about 10 minutes.
2.  Melt the butter and use it to cook all the other ingredients in this recipe. 
3.  Mix the sauce with pasta after draining the pasta.  Serve while hot.  Enjoy!

Cajun Cabbage Recipe

INGREDIENTS

* 1 pound ground beef
* 2 small onions, chopped
* 1 green pepper, chopped
* 6 cups chopped cabbage
* 1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice
* 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
* 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
* 1 cup water
* 1 teaspoon sugar
* 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon pepper

DIRECTIONS

1.  Prepare a large Dutch oven and combine all the ingredients together.
2.  Set the Dutch oven for an hour, using a 350 degrees heat application.

* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
* 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
* 1 cup milk
* 1/2 cup mayonnaise*
* 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

1.  Toss the solid ingredients together in a bowl.  Then, get a separate bowl and toss the liquid mixture together.
2.  Bake the dish for half an hour, using a 350 degrees heat application.

INGREDIENTS

* 1/2 pound bacon
* 1 (16 ounce) can sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
* 1/2 cup white sugar
* salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, reserving drippings, crumble and set aside.
2. In a medium saucepan heat sauerkraut with a little water over medium heat. Stir in crumbled bacon, sugar and 3 to 4 tablespoons of bacon drippings. Cook for 20 minutes, or until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

* 1/3 cup white vinegar
* 1/3 cup vegetable oil
* 1 tablespoon water
* 2 teaspoons finely chopped onion

DIRECTIONS

1.  Put the basic ingredients in this recipe inside a large bowl.
